Perhaps the greatest British folk singer of all time, she first came to prominence in the quintessential British folk band, the Fairport Convention. Her singing and song writing took the band to unimaginable heights and proved her to be a true talent of the last century. After leaving Fairport in 1970, she continued to produce solo work.
